Senior Construction Manager

Kier Construction is seeking a highly skilled Senior Site Manager to join our North East team, working on a large, new build healthcare project in Sunderland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and direct sub-contractor partners to deliver external elements, including roofing, plant rooms, and external cladding packages.
- Ensure the safe delivery of construction works in line with Kier quality standards.
- Review Risk Assessments and Method Statements from sub-contractors to ensure working methods are safe and appropriate.
- Carry out toolbox talks and site inductions to ensure full compliance with Kier standards.
- Coordinate site logistics, movement of plant and labour, and ensure safety is maintained.
- Report any issues or programme slippages to the site/project manager.
- Create, log, and file site reports and paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
- Work collaboratively with the wider project team to find solutions to challenges.
Requirements:
- Relevant construction qualification (HND/ Degree, trades accreditation, or equivalent).
- Prior experience in delivering large build projects within the main contracting environment.
- Sound technical knowledge of external work packages.
- Track record of ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance.
- Holding SMSTS 5 Day Cert, CSCS Card, and First Aid cert.
