About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team at New Care. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of our care home, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out regular inspections of the care home to identify and report any maintenance issues
  • Monitor and action plan maintenance tasks to ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Perform domestic painting, decorating, and wallpapering to a schedule defined by the Home Manager
  • Undertake minor joinery work and plumbing tasks as required
  • Ensure all compliance documents are up to date and complete
  • Carry out Health and Safety and Fire Safety drills and training as required
Requirements
  • Experience in basic plumbing, electrical, joinery, or gardening work is essential
  • Specialist skills in a building trade are preferable
  • Ability to use basic tools and operate equipment
  • Must have a full clean driving license
  • Must be reliable and able to communicate with residents and other members of staff
