Senior Mental Health Nurse Role at HMP Lewes

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mental Health Nurse to join our team at HMP Lewes. As a Senior Mental Health Nurse, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care and leading a multi-disciplinary team to prevent hospital admissions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess patients' health needs using evidence-based frameworks and conduct risk assessments using sound clinical knowledge.
  • Lead a team to deliver a nurse-led service and make clinical judgments regarding immediate needs and long-term treatment.
  • Ensure that patients receive comprehensive care, including physical and mental health assessments, and make appropriate referrals as necessary.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care and support to patients.
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse (Mental Health) qualification.
  • Experience in clinical management or readiness to step into a leadership role.
  • Legal right to work in the UK.
