We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Mental Health Nurse to join our team at HMP Lewes. As a Senior Mental Health Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and leading a multi-disciplinary team to prevent hospital admissions.

About the Role

As a Senior Mental Health Nurse, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading a team of mental health professionals to deliver a nurse-led service
  • Undertaking medication rounds and dispensing controlled medication
  • Attending emergency response situations
  • Assessing patients and undertaking reception screening
  • Ensuring the physical and mental health of prisoners on admission and throughout their custody
