Position Summary
We are seeking a Rail Engineering Lead to join our esteemed Rail division. This role is crucial in overseeing the Engineering & Design Strategy and Performance of Temporary Works on our projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance of design and engineering of temporary works with industry standards.
- Provide management, guidance, and leadership throughout the Engineering and Design process.
- Facilitate effective delivery of Temporary Works management from identification through to implementation.
- Monitor and report on engineering and supplier performance in Temporary Works across the Division.
- Track performance metrics including Safety, Compliance, Cost, and Time, and develop plans for continuous improvement.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A relevant Engineering Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in Rail design and construction management.
- Experience managing high-value multidisciplinary rail contracts.
- Experience in the role of Construction Engineering Manager on large rail projects.
- Professional qualifications such as MICE or MCIOB, complemented by a strong engineering background.
- Significant managerial and technical experience with a solid understanding of the design process, particularly regarding temporary works.
- A track record of building and leading high-performing engineering teams.
- A well-established network and reputation within the industry.
