Senior Threat Response Analyst

Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Information Security Analyst who will concentrate on the technical dimensions of information security, ensuring that IT systems are designed and maintained securely.
The Information Security team is responsible for monitoring our operational environment, responding to alerts and anomalies identified through automated systems or manual assessments.
The Security Operations Centre (SOC) manages the complete process from alert detection to resolution and plays a crucial role in the cyber incident management framework. This team acts as both an alert reviewer and a resolution team, focusing on identifying issues rather than solely fixing them.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with the engineering team to establish tool requirements and integrate new functionalities. Additionally, you will partner with governance and compliance teams to ensure proper data usage.
We utilize industry-leading, enterprise-grade tools to detect threats, alongside internally developed scripts and extensive internet research. The daily responsibilities are dynamic and fast-paced, requiring adaptability to shifting business priorities and evolving threat landscapes.
This position qualifies for the Company's hybrid work-from-home policy.
Essential Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
- Proven experience in leading information security initiatives throughout the project lifecycle.
- Extensive hands-on technical expertise in securing operating systems and utilizing security tools.
- Experience in conducting security-related technical investigations.
- Familiarity with industry-standard information security practices.
- Up-to-date knowledge of advancements in security technologies and their applications.
- Understanding of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) at its current version.
- Exceptional communication and documentation skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong organizational abilities and capability to meet deadlines.
- Pragmatic approach to governance and risk management.
- A committed, flexible, and proactive attitude towards work.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the technical aspects of the incident management process related to information security challenges.
- Conducting security-related investigations.
- Overseeing daily security operations and serving as an escalation point when necessary.
- Responding to and reporting on system alerts from various monitoring technologies.
- Leading project initiatives to ensure that information security considerations are integrated from the outset and throughout the project lifecycle.
- Developing a comprehensive understanding of the business while supporting team members.
- Collaborating with the business to ensure compliance with information security requirements across different jurisdictions.
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation.
- Participating actively in audits as required.
