As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to security incidents, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of our clients' IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Security Monitoring and Analysis: Continuously monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools and other monitoring platforms to identify potential security threats.
- Incident Response: Investigate and respond to security incidents, including malware infections, DDoS attacks, unauthorized access, and other threats, to minimize disruption to operations.
- Threat Intelligence and Research: Stay up-to-date with the latest cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and attack methods, and conduct research to identify new threat vectors and recommend proactive measures to enhance security posture.
- Security Tools and Technologies: Maintain and optimize SOC tools and technologies, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, endpoint protection, and vulnerability management systems, to ensure they are properly integrated and functioning.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure all security operations comply with relevant regulations and standards, and generate regular reports on security incidents, threat trends, and SOC performance for management and clients.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a SOC or similar cybersecurity role.
- Skills: Proven experience with SIEM platforms and security monitoring tools, hands-on experience in incident response, threat analysis, and vulnerability management, strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, and proficiency in analyzing logs, network packets, and other data sources to identify security threats.
Hamilton Barnes offers a competitive salary of £65,000 basic salary per annum, and the opportunity to work with a leading defence and security specialist MSP.
