Financial Operations Manager

Reed is seeking a seasoned Senior Management Accountant to provide critical support to our client in the non-profit sector. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and analytical individual with a strong background in management accounting and a passion for driving business growth.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and year-end accounts, to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to develop and implement financial models, forecasts, and budgets to support business objectives.
  • Monitor and report on financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to optimize financial stability and efficiency.
  • Ensure robust financial controls are in place and compliance with regulatory requirements, maintaining a high level of financial integrity.
  • Manage cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts to ensure financial stability and support business growth.
  • Liaise with external auditors, providing all required information for annual audits, to ensure seamless compliance.
  • Support the finance team with ad-hoc projects and process improvements, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with department heads to ensure budget adherence and provide financial training and support as needed, promoting a culture of high performance.
  • Oversee and mentor junior finance staff, promoting a culture of continuous development and high performance.

**Requirements:**

  • Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience.
  • Strong experience in management accounting, preferably within the charity or non-profit sector, with a proven track record of driving business growth.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to analyze complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels, promoting a culture of collaboration and transparency.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and supportive work environment, with a commitment to the values and mission of the non-profit sector.
