About the Role

Penguin Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer to join a specialist UK-based engineering consultancy in Cambridge. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing Flood Risk Assessments, Surface Water Drainage Strategies, and Drainage Design using Microdrainage, Infodrainage, or Flow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Flood risk assessments for flood zones 1, 2, and 3
  • Surface water management plans
  • Surface water and foul drainage strategies
  • Detailed design of surface water and foul water drainage systems
  • SuDS Design using Microdrainage for residential tower blocks, solar, renewable, greenfield developments, and waste projects
  • Drainage Impact Assessments
  • Project management and mentoring team members
  • Business development and promoting the services of the company to new and existing clients

Requirements

  • BSc and/or MSc in Civil Engineering or Hydrology
  • Experience working for a UK-based consultancy or local authority
  • Proficiency in Microdrainage, Infodrainage, or Flow
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
