Join our team as a Bakery Assistant at SPAR Food-To-Go in Queensferry
16+ hours per week, with opportunities for more hours when needed.
Flexible shifts between 5:30am and 2:00pm, including weekends.
We're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Food-To-Go team as a Customer Team Member. As a key member of our team, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and contributing to the success of our store.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
- Prepare and cook food items, including sandwiches, breakfast, and lunch items, as well as baking cookies and bread.
- Greet customers warmly and assist with inquiries about products and services.
- Process customer purchases efficiently and accurately, maintaining a positive and friendly service.
- Upsell products and highlight multi-buy offers to maximize sales.
- Adhere to food handling, safety, and sanitation standards when storing, preparing, and serving food.
Store Operations:
- Work stock, check deliveries, and maintain a clean and organized sales floor.
- Complete additional tasks, such as date checking, stock and gap checking, and price changes.
Key Skills and Knowledge:
- Previous experience in a similar role or industry is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Understanding of legislative responsibilities in a retail environment.
- Ability to contribute ideas for delivering exceptional customer service.
- Previous cash handling experience is preferred but not essential.
