Bakery Team Member

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Bakery Assistant to join our team at A.F. Blakemore & Son Ltd. As a Bakery Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our store management and creating a positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers in a friendly and welcoming manner, answering customer inquiries, and processing customer purchases efficiently and accurately.
- Food Preparation: Prepare all sandwich ingredients, including cooking breakfast and lunch items, baking of cookies/bread, and washing, cutting, slicing, chopping, and grating of ingredients, in accordance with established guidelines.
- Store Operations: Work stock, check deliveries, stock shelves, maintain a clean and organized sales floor, and rotate stock to ensure freshness and timely expiration dates.
- Previous Experience: Previous experience in a similar role and/or industry is preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Reliably follows instructions and procedures with excellent attention to detail.
- Legislative Knowledge: Some understanding of legislative responsibilities of a retail environment and the skills to assist with adherence.
- Teamwork: Ability to contribute ideas for delivering exceptional customer service and driving the business forward.
