About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 6 Specialist Practitioner to join our Early Intervention in Psychosis Service. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals experiencing their first episode of psychosis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and plan specialist programmes of care for individuals with first episode psychosis, including case formulation, design of intervention, delivery, and evaluation.
  • Work closely with families, carers, and other agencies to provide comprehensive and specialist assessment, and to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Provide clinical supervision to junior staff, students, and support workers, and contribute to the development of clinical groups and workshops as appropriate.
  • Liaise and work in partnership with staff from other statutory services, voluntary agencies, and community groups to plan, provide, and assess programmes of care.
  • Provide advice and support to carers/relatives, and to provide structured family interventions to families where a person has a first episode or emerging psychosis.
  • Participate in clinical meetings, CPA, and client reviews as appropriate, and ensure that legal and Trust requirements affecting service users and staff are adhered to.
Requirements
  • Professional qualification in mental health nursing, social work, or occupational therapy.
  • Appropriate CPD post-qualification in psychosocial interventions.
  • Broad-based post-qualification mental health experience, including working with first episode psychosis.
  • Experience of care coordination or equivalent role.
  • Experience of and commitment to multi-disciplinary working.
  • Experience of providing clinical supervision to junior staff/consultation for other professionals.
