Job Title: Band 6 Mental Health Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 6 Mental Health Nurse to join our team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our nursing team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with mental health needs.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in mental health nursing and will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for patients with mental health needs, as well as providing support and guidance to colleagues.

You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive comprehensive care that meets their individual needs. This will involve working in a variety of settings, including emergency departments, medical assessment areas, and wards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-level nursing care to patients with mental health needs
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients with mental health needs
  • Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Provide support and guidance to colleagues
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care
Requirements
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification
  • Experience working in a mental health setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of mental health legislation and policies
