Lead MEP Cost Consultant

Salary - £55k - 65k plus company vehicle/allowance

Pertemps TM is a prominent MEP contractor, and due to growth, we are in search of a new Lead MEP Cost Consultant to enhance our team.

Your responsibilities will include delivering regular contractual and financial insights to track the achievement of project goals, assisting in the evaluation of sub-contract documents prior to finalization, and generally optimizing the financial outcomes for each project.


Key Responsibilities:

Negotiating and reviewing proposed sub-contract documentation to secure the most favorable terms for the organization.

Preparing and submitting cash flow forecasts.

Collaborating with project contract engineers in the creation of sub-sub-contractor inquiry documents, compiling and preparing sub-sub-contract documents, and reaching agreements with sub-sub-contractors.

Offering guidance on supplier/sub-sub-contractor quotations.

Generating monthly reports within established deadlines.

Securing written agreements on suppliers/sub-sub-contractors' final accounts, in partnership with the project contracts engineer.

Drafting final accounts.

Analyzing sub-contract tenders to format valuation applications.

Ensuring full coordination with all other departments.

Monitoring performance against project costs/values and providing recommendations.

Assisting in tracking project progress in relation to the agreed sub-contract program and, if necessary, issuing appropriate formal notices.

Preparing contractual claims under the main contract and domestic sub-sub-contracts.

Participating in project support meetings as required.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in an MEP setting as a Surveyor or Senior Surveyor.

Strong knowledge of measurement and valuation practices.

Familiarity with standard contract forms.

Proven ability to negotiate with clients/sub-contractors and draft sub-contracts.

Understanding of the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS).

Capability to produce precise monthly cost and value reports along with financial forecasts.

Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
