Operations Planner Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Operations Planner to join our dynamic team in London, Docklands. As an Operations Planner, you will play a vital role in supporting the planning and coordination of maintenance requests and workflows within the Data Centre Operations Department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create high-level plans and maintenance schedules for activities across the data centre campus.
  • Monitor and track department projects, reporting on progress and highlighting risks and potential delays.
  • Assist in the preparation of customer audits by providing evidence of maintenance activities and completed works.
  • Update the FM shift attendance register and highlight gaps in attendance.
  • Audit the CAFM system to ensure accurate and up-to-date data integrity.
  • Track and oversee the FM provider's delivery of PPMs and Reactive works.
  • Review assets on the CAFM system to ensure correct setup of planned works for third-party sub-contractors and the current FM provider.
  • Ensure newly handed over assets are correctly configured on the CAFM system.
  • Assist with the maintenance Change Control tracker.
  • Oversee the receipt of service reports for each scheduled maintenance task and identify any gaps or risks.
  • Create regular maintenance audit schedules with the DC Ops team and FM provider.
  • Assist with the smooth approval of monthly FM billing applications by reviewing completed works.
  • Support the wider DC Ops team in processing orders.
Requirements:
  • Experience in project planning, scheduling, and reporting.
  • 2-4 years of experience in a Facilities Maintenance coordination role or similar.
  • Preferably experience in Asset Management.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels.
  • Ability to work in a confidential and sensitive manner.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in the data centre sector or telecommunications sector is a bonus, although training will be provided.
