About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic and forward-thinking Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Team on a fixed-term basis for 12 months to cover a maternity post. This is a full-time position, but we are open to considering part-time and/or job-sharing arrangements for the right applicant.

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a specialist area of occupational therapy practice and work alongside a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care for clients of the Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust's Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist occupational therapy assessment and treatment focusing on perinatal mental health, transition to parenthood, and the infant-mother relationship.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver a high-quality service.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of occupational therapy services and policies.
  • Participate in training and education activities to enhance professional development and skills.

Person Specification
  • Registered Occupational Therapist with the Health Professions Council.
  • Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Evidence of post-registration study.
  • Membership of a professional body (desirable).
  • Practice placement education qualification (desirable).
  • Evidence of post-registration study in a field relevant to the post (desirable).
