Position Overview

In light of our continuous expansion, NES Fircroft is pleased to announce a new opportunity for a CNC Operations and Fabrication Supervisor to become a vital part of our workshop team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise CNC machining and welding processes, ensuring meticulous attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Lead risk assessments and conduct toolbox discussions to promote a safe working environment.
  • Coordinate activities in collaboration with the Mechanical Supervisor and Planner to optimize workflow.
  • Serve as the primary contact for all machining and fabrication operations.
  • Assume leadership responsibilities for contractors and visitors within the workshop setting.
  • Ensure accurate completion and timely submission of timesheets and inspection reports.
  • Drive the implementation, development, maintenance, and enhancement of CNC and fabrication procedures, ensuring their consistent application.
  • Oversee quality control checks as necessary to maintain high standards.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures related to quality assurance.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workshop and yard area to promote efficiency.
  • Operate forklifts, cranes, and vertical lift platforms, provided proper training has been received.
  • Ensure compliance with local waste management policies and procedures.
  • Report and engage in the investigation of unsafe practices and behaviors.
  • Ensure all maintenance and recertification activities for workshop equipment are conducted and documented appropriately.
  • Monitor workshop operations to guarantee that all projects are executed effectively and in accordance with quality standards.
  • Provide updates on project progress and any deviations from planned activities.
  • Ensure optimal allocation of resources for project execution.
  • Contribute to the annual performance appraisal process for the machine shop team.
  • Foster a safe, clean, and organized working environment.
  • Exhibit a strong commitment to the core values of NES Fircroft, including Compliance, Integrity, and Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE).

Qualifications and Skills

  • Possess a qualification at HNC/NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant mechanical or fabrication discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing CNC and fabrication teams.
  • Familiarity with CNC machine controls such as Fanuc, Siemens, Mazak, or similar systems.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and communicate objectives effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
