**About the Role**

We are recruiting a roustabout/deck crew member who possesses the skills to operate a hydraulic knuckle boom crane either on an offshore installation or vessel based. The role will be on a rotational basis predominantly in the North Sea. You will integrate with our clients’ offshore team supporting their day-to-day operations with roustabout/deck duties along with operating and maintining a hydraulic knuckle boom crane and a variety of complimentary hydraulic and mechanical equipment. You will work closely with the clients’ offshore team and will report directly to the shift supervisor.

**Tasks & Responsibilities**
- Integrating with the client team offshore - you will be representing Brimmond to our client offshore.
- Participating in a wide variety of roustabout/deck-hand duties such as drill pipe handling, operating hydraulic tugger winches and similar tasks.
- Operating a hydraulic knuckle boom crane.
- Operating hydraulic power units (HPU’s).
- Carrying out relevant daily equipment checks and scheduled maintenance of the crane and HPU and reporting any issues back to the office.
- Maintaining the worksite in a clean and safe condition.
- Embrace Brimmond, client and operator QHSE objectives and play an active part in maintaining and improving procedures, processes and safety.
- Sending daily reports to the office advising of ongoing activities and issues offshore.
- Providing a comprehensive handover to your relief at the end of your trip.
- The ability to use your own initiative, and to be able to work individually or as part of a team.

**Essential**
- Previous offshore, drilling or vessel-based experience
- Experience of operating hydraulic equipment such as cranes, pipe handlers, cherry pickers or winches.
- Effective communicator.
- Driven, Self-Motivated, Enthusiastic with a genuine passion for the job.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage own workload effectively to meet deadlines as is necessary.
- Communicates effectively with internal and external contacts in a professional manner.
- Works effectively within a team or other work group as appropriate.
- OPITO approved BOSIET or FOET, with CA-EBS
- OPITO approved MIST
- Offshore Energies UK Offshore Medical Certificate
- BS 7121 Part 11 Offshore Crane Operator Stage 1 & 2 Training
- Valid Passport

**Preferred**
- Hydraulic/mechanical maintenance and fault-finding skills.
- Ability to use Microsoft computer programs to produce daily reports and trip handovers.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
- The ability to compile accurate and coherent service reports.
- OPITO approved Banksman & Slinger Stage 1 Training

**Further Information**
- You will be willing to carry out any additional relevant training as and when required.
- The role will involve a period of workshop-based activities in Kintore to integrate and familiarise the employee with the type of equipment generally encountered, and the standards that Brimmond work to and uphold.
- It is expected that the majority of offshore mobilisations will happen from Aberdeen; the employee is therefore expected to be able to commute to Aberdeen in a reasonable timeframe
- The remuneration for this role will comprise three key elements:

- A basic salary
- A daily uplift for offshore based work
- A daily uplift for training or worked based work
- The annual salary range indicated assumes a year of equal-time offshore rotation
