The Fire Safety Technician will be tasked with the installation, upkeep, examination, and repair of fire damper systems. This role is crucial in ensuring that fire dampers operate effectively to inhibit the spread of fire and smoke within structures, thereby improving the overall safety and compliance of our clients' properties.
Working hours are 40 hours per week (Monday - Friday), with opportunities for overtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation: Install fire dampers in diverse environments, ensuring adherence to fire safety regulations and standards.
- Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance and testing of fire dampers to guarantee optimal performance and compliance with legal requirements.
- Inspection: Perform comprehensive inspections of fire damper systems, identifying and rectifying any issues or potential risks.
- Repair: Diagnose and fix malfunctioning or damaged fire dampers, ensuring minimal disruption to building operations.
- Documentation: Maintain precise records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs, including reports on the condition and functionality of fire dampers.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about relevant fire safety regulations, standards, and best practices, ensuring all work complies with legal and industry requirements.
Requirements:
Must possess a valid UK Driving License.
Strong knowledge of fire safety regulations, standards, and codes.
Physical capability to perform tasks that may involve climbing, lifting, and working in confined spaces.
