Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rota Coordinator and Education Team Leader to join our team at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical staffing rotas and education team.

As a Rota Coordinator and Education Team Leader, you will be responsible for coordinating the administration of medical staffing rotas within our Cancer Services department, using Medical Health Roaster compliant rotas. You will also act as team lead for the education admin team, providing assistance and advice to new and existing users of the system.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating sickness, annual leave, study leave, and special leave for all medical staff, identifying and escalating risks with input and support from consultants, senior registrars, and the leadership team.
  • Acting as team lead for the education admin team, providing guidance and support to team members.
  • Providing assistance and advice to new and existing users of the system, including dealing with swaps, shift time changes, and other roster changes.
  • Working closely with other medical workforce coordinators in the department, providing cover where necessary, and mutual support at peak periods such as August changeover.
