Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive individual to provide administrative support within the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) as part of the Children & Young People's Division.

The ideal candidate will possess a solid educational background, exceptional communication abilities, and the capacity to work independently while managing their workload efficiently and systematically. Proficiency in keyboarding and familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite are essential. The role encompasses a variety of responsibilities that require adaptability and organization.

A professional telephone demeanor is crucial. The successful applicant will need to exhibit a sensitive and professional approach while ensuring confidentiality is upheld at all times.

Main Responsibilities

The CAMHS Team Secretary will deliver a comprehensive and adaptable administrative service to the CAMHS Multi-Disciplinary team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Typing and document preparation
  • Management of electronic and paper diaries
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Reception duties

Due to the nature of the position, maintaining strict confidentiality is paramount. The post-holder will interact with patients, caregivers, medical personnel, and other visitors, both in person and in writing, with courtesy and discretion.

Language Requirement

The ability to communicate in Welsh is a requirement for this position.
