We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Office Coordinator to join our team at Interior Health Authority. As a Medical Office Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our patient care areas.
Key Responsibilities- Prioritize, process, coordinate, and transcribe physicians' orders in a timely and accurate manner.
- Act as a communication link for the unit, ensuring seamless communication between staff, patients, and families.
- Schedule, book, and coordinate patient appointments, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Assemble and maintain patient charts, input patient data, and transcribe information into relevant systems.
- Perform various clerical duties, including keyboarding, data entry, filing, compiling, preparing, and maintaining statistics and reports.
- Maintain timekeeping records for regular and relief staff and submit/enter to payroll systems.
- Observe patient call signals and relay messages to the appropriate personnel.
- Completion of Grade 12.
- A current Typing Test of 40 wpm or greater completed within the past 48 months from a recognized institution.
- A Nursing Unit Clerk Certificate.
- Your Resume.
- A Cover Letter stating your availability to start in a new position.
