About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Ashford Medical Partnership. As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with new patient health checks, including taking vital signs and conducting routine examinations
  • Perform ECG recordings, phlebotomy, and spirometry as required
  • Provide chaperoning duties and support with laboratory sample processing
  • Maintain surgical equipment, including sterilization and cleaning
  • Assist with vaccine and cold chain storage, monitoring, and recording
  • Support with surgical equipment re-stocking and stock rotation
  • Clear and re-stock consulting rooms, preparing and maintaining environments and equipment
  • Assist with patient assessment and surveillance, including monitoring health and well-being
  • Undertake specific clinical activities for named patients, as delegated and taught
Person Specification
  • Qualified to at least NVQ level 3
  • Immunisation and Vaccination accredited
  • Phlebotomy Accredited
  • Experience of working with the general public and as a Healthcare Assistant
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, managing competing priorities and working under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, face-to-face, and active listening skills
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Word and email
