Quantity Surveyor Job Description

Spencer & James Recruitment is seeking a skilled and dedicated Quantity Surveyor to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience working on Responsive Repairs and Voids works projects within the social housing sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the project commercial aspects, overseeing a Commercial Assistant and preparing monthly CVR's / VCR's.
  • Submit client applications and handle commercial reports.
  • Promote and support project team performance by ensuring key contractual obligations and strategies are effectively executed and reviewed regularly.
Enhance Project Performance:

Coordinate with stakeholders to agree on external valuations and manage cash flow to enhance project value.

  • Prepare and submit monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVR) and progress reports, ensuring efficient cost control and maximizing project value.
  • Work alongside the Commercial Manager to finalize main and subcontract accounts.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years experience at a Main Contractor working on Void or Responsive projects.
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to delivering high-quality social housing reactive and void works contracts.
