Job Title: Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Spencer & James Recruitment is seeking a skilled and dedicated Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience working on Responsive Repairs and Voids works projects within the social housing sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the project commercial aspects, overseeing a Commercial Assistant.
  • Prepare monthly CVR's / VCR's and submit client applications.
  • Handle commercial reports and learn the M&V process to assist in generating monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs).
  • Expand your understanding of commercial approaches for smaller subcontractor packages and site preliminaries.
  • Frequently carry out site safety inspections.
  • Continuously update PDR's A&B and complete required training documentation.
  • Develop and regularly evaluate personal action plans for project tasks and individual goals.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience at a Main Contractor working on Void or Responsive projects.
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to delivering high-quality social housing reactive and void works contracts.
