Operational Risk Management Senior Vice President

Citi is seeking a highly skilled Operational Risk Management Senior Vice President to join its team. As a key member of the Operational Risk Management team, you will play a critical role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational risks across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide independent oversight and assurance over the bank's operational risk management framework, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Lead and guide a team of risk professionals, providing mentorship, guidance, and performance evaluations.
  • Review and challenge the effectiveness of risk mitigation strategies and control measures implemented by the First Line of Defense (1LOD).
  • Produce comprehensive and accurate risk reports for senior management and regulators, highlighting key risks, trends, and emerging issues.
  • Analyze operational risk data to identify patterns, root causes, and potential areas of concern.
  • Develop targeted action plans and participate in the ongoing development and refinement of Citi's Operational Risk Management Framework and underpinning Policies, Standards, Procedures.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of operational processes and underlying policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven record of delivering tangible outcomes in risk management, demonstrating ability to apply expertise effectively and drive meaningful results.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze risk data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
  • Outstanding communication and influencing skills through all levels of the organization.
  • Exceptional relationship management skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and develop long-term risk management plans and solutions.
