Job Summary:
NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Charge Midwife to join our team at The Vale of Leven Community Maternity Unit. As a clinical leader, you will provide 24-hour continuing responsibility for the department and lead the delivery of clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical leadership to the midwifery team and promote teamwork within a multi-professional environment.
- Lead the delivery of clinical excellence and promote a clean, comfortable, caring, and safe environment for staff, women, and visitors.
- Ensure compliance with legislation, policies, and protocols, and maintain high standards of record keeping.
- Act as a role model and create a supportive ethos to empower staff to contribute to the delivery of high-quality person-centered care.
- Be a registered Midwife on the NMC Register, educated to degree level or equivalent level of experience or evidence of continuous professional development.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years post-registration experience within a relevant area.
- Expert clinical and professional practice developed through experience and theoretical knowledge.

Working Hours:
The shift pattern for this position is 0800-1600, 0900-1700, 0800-2000, plus on-call rota. You may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period.
