About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team at Companies House. As a key member of our IT Services Digital team, you will play a critical role in driving the development and delivery of our digital services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, implementation, and operation of our cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
  • Develop and maintain our DevOps toolchain, including automation scripts, monitoring, and logging.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize technical requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, ensuring 24/7/365 service availability and responding to incidents in a timely and effective manner.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in cloud infrastructure management, with a strong focus on AWS.
  • Expertise in DevOps practices, including automation, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
  • Strong understanding of system software build and release processes, including code deployment and environment provisioning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and Scrum frameworks.
