Job Title: Azure DevOps and Server Engineer

Job Summary:

ActiveQuote is seeking a highly skilled Azure DevOps and Server Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our IT infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure Management: Take overall ownership for the day-to-day operation of the IT infrastructure and services, ensuring the appropriate service levels are maintained and the systems are reliable.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with software development, data, and operations teams to design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions.
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Proactive server and network monitoring to ensure systems are performing correctly and to identify any issues that could impact the delivery of service to the business and escalate.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure and deployment issues, working closely with cross-functional teams, such as software and data teams.
  • Automation and Continuous Improvement: Encouraging and building automated processes wherever possible, striving for continuous improvement and building continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline.
  • Security and Compliance: Help in configuring Firewalls, network permissions, role administration, etc. to adequately safeguard the company against internal and external threats or misuse of the internal IT policy.

Requirements:

  • Essential:
    • Strong experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, and preferably be certified/accredited with Azure Administration certification.
    • Experience using CD/CI Pipelines in Azure DevOps.
    • Highly skilled specialising in supporting Microsoft Servers, Desktops, and Applications (M365 + InTune).
    • Ability to develop automated tasks and scripts using PowerShell or other scripting languages.
    • Aware of Incident, Change, and Asset Management frameworks (ITIL, TOGAF).
    • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
    • Microsoft Identity and Access Management products and policy management.
  • Desired:
    • Expected qualities of an experienced Support engineer.
    • Skilled with remote desktop applications and help desk software.
    • General Network administration and troubleshooting, TCP/IP, and WAN/LAN/Wi-Fi.
    • Cyber security, Antivirus & Firewalls experience.
