Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Azure DevOps Engineer to join our team at ActiveQuote. As an Infrastructure Specialist, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of our IT infrastructure and services, ensuring the appropriate service levels are maintained and the systems are reliable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Infrastructure Management: Take overall ownership for the day-to-day operation of the IT infrastructure and services, ensuring the appropriate service levels are maintained and the systems are reliable.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Assist in the development and delivery of the company's On Prem and Cloud infrastructure strategy, including both day-to-day support, monitoring and development work.
  • System Administration: Deploy and maintain servers, storage, and networking resources required to host applications, and manage On-premise resources such as physical servers, SAN / NAS systems, switches, and virtualization software (VMware).
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with software development, data and operations teams to design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions.
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Proactive server and network monitoring to ensure systems are performing correctly and to identify any issues that could impact the delivery of service to the business and escalate.
  • Incident Management: Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure and deployment issues, working closely with crossfunctional teams, such as software and data teams.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Define, manage and transfer knowledge and standards to Junior team members.
  • Continuous Improvement: Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline.
Requirements
  • Strong Experience: Strong experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, and preferably be certified/accredited with Azure Administration certification.
  • Terraform Experience: Proven working knowledge and experience using Terraform IaC.
  • CD/CI Pipelines: Experience using CD/CI Pipelines in Azure DevOps.
  • Scripting Skills: Ability to develop automated tasks and scripts using PowerShell or other scripting languages.
  • Team Collaboration: Exceptional team collaboration skills.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Proven experience working within cloud infrastructure service delivery.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge Transfer: Excellent ability to transfer knowledge within a team.
  • Incident Management: Exceptional Incident Management skills with ability to identify root cause and implement solutions.
  • ITIL Framework: Aware of Incident, Change and Asset Management frameworks (ITIL, TOGAF).
  • Microsoft Products: Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, and Microsoft Identity and Access Management products and policy management.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Remote Desktop Applications: Skilled with remote desktop applications and help desk software.
  • Network Administration: General Network administration and troubleshooting, TCP/IP and WAN/ LAN /Wi-Fi.
  • Cyber Security: Cyber security, Antivirus & Firewalls experience.
