About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Azure DevOps Engineer to join our team at ActiveQuote. As a key member of our DevOps function, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of our IT infrastructure and services, ensuring high service levels and system reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Infrastructure Management: Take ownership of our IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, and networking resources, to ensure they are properly provisioned and maintained.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure solutions using Azure.
  • DevOps Practices: Collaborate with software development, data, and operations teams to implement DevOps practices, including continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment.
  • Incident Management: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with infrastructure solutions, providing solutions and workarounds.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Transfer knowledge and standards to junior team members and contribute to the development of our DevOps function.
  • Automation: Engage in infrastructure automation work, either independently or with delivery partners, to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors.
Requirements
  • Strong Experience: Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, preferably with Azure Administration certification.
  • Terraform IaC: Working knowledge and experience using Terraform Infrastructure as Code.
  • CD/CI Pipelines: Experience working with Continuous Delivery/Continuous Integration pipelines in Azure DevOps.
  • Scripting: Ability to develop automated tasks and scripts using PowerShell or other scripting languages.
  • Team Collaboration: Exceptional team collaboration skills and ability to transfer knowledge within a team.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with ability to identify root cause and implement solutions.
Desired Qualities
  • Remote Desktop Applications: Skilled with remote desktop applications and help desk software.
  • Network Administration: General network administration and troubleshooting, including TCP/IP and WAN/LAN/Wi-Fi.
  • Cyber Security: Experience with cyber security, antivirus, and firewalls.
