About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Insights Manager to join our team at Legal & General. As a key member of our Group Functions, you will be responsible for leading a team of analysts in the delivery of insights through analysis of data across various business functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of analysts, guiding them on project discussions, strategy, and delivery across the business.
  • Data Analysis: Understand the data systems and structures within the business, contributing to improvements and linking understanding of source data to value-adding analytics and reporting.
  • Data Visualization: Advocate for data visualization best practice, sharing knowledge and guidance with others, ensuring all outputs are visualized to a high standard.
  • Process Development: Continuously develop processes to create deliverables in the most efficient way, using code to manipulate data and visualization tools to display outputs clearly.
  • Stakeholder Management: Lead stakeholder management and issue resolution for the team, developing and maintaining productive relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Governance and Reporting: Implement appropriate governance, reporting, and escalation of changes impacting customers, ensuring key checkpoints are met.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: Experience in leading and delivering through others, coaching team members to improve performance.
  • Data Visualization Skills: Experience creating dashboards/data visualizations with dashboarding software such as Tableau or PowerBI.
  • Data Manipulation: Performing data manipulation and transformation to create and maintain datasets.
  • Stakeholder Management: Gathering requirements from stakeholders across internal teams, managing expectations, and guiding on approach.
  • Domain Knowledge: Working with a variety of datasets across different domains, with a proven ability to rapidly understand the commercial and business context.
