Job Title: Data Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our team. As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for extracting insights from large datasets, developing comprehensive reports, and collaborating with our team to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Analysis: Dive into diverse datasets to extract meaningful patterns, trends, and insights.
  • Data Cleaning and Processing: Cleanse and process data to ensure accuracy and reliability in analysis.
  • Statistical Analysis: Utilise statistical methods to interpret and validate findings, contributing to data-driven decision-making.
  • Reporting and Communication: Develop comprehensive reports to communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Industry Trends and Tools: Stay updated on the latest industry trends, tools, and techniques in data analytics.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain data quality assurance processes to ensure the reliability of analytical outputs.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in R: Proficiency in the R programming language, ideally ggplot2, tidyverse and.
  • Advanced Spreadsheeting Skills: Advanced spreadsheeting skills, ideally google-sheets and Excel.
  • Passion for Data Analytics: A passion for data analytics and a desire to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Education and Experience: A Bachelor's degree in a data-oriented subject (statistics, econometrics, economics etc) and/or several years of highly relevant experience in data analysis using the above software.
Desirable Skills
  • SQL/Sequel Programming: Previous experience using the SQL/Sequel programming language.
  • Visualisation Tools: Experience in creating compelling visualisations using tools like Tableau, PowerBI, or Grafana software.
  • Data Manipulation and Management: Experience of data manipulation, management and reporting.
  • Problem-Solving and Communication: Adept at solving analytical problems with attention to detail and excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical findings to non-technical audiences.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Sports and Betting Knowledge: A passion and understanding of sports and sports betting markets/odds.
