Job Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Sexual Assault Support Specialists. In this vital role, you will provide essential support and advocacy to victims of sexual assault, ensuring they feel empowered and cared for throughout their journey.

Main Responsibilities

  • Offer telephone information and emotional support to individuals who have experienced sexual assault.
  • Assist in the administrative and logistical management of patients visiting our Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC), including data collection and report generation.
  • Provide compassionate and non-judgmental support to victims during their interactions with healthcare professionals and legal authorities.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all relevant safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for victims of sexual assault.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience working with vulnerable adults and children in a sensitive and supportive manner.
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding principles and procedures for both adults and children.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in administrative tasks, including data entry, spreadsheet management, and report writing.
  • A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle for occasional travel.
