Job Overview

Specialist Nurse in Tissue Viability

Weekly Hours

The role of the Specialist Nurse in Tissue Viability is pivotal in delivering tailored, patient-focused clinical care for individuals with specific tissue viability requirements, including vascular concerns, compromised skin integrity, and pressure injuries. Utilizing evidence-based methodologies, the Specialist Nurse will evaluate and devise care plans for patients referred to the service, collaborating closely with the tissue viability team. This position encompasses the provision of care and oversight of care delivery by clinical personnel. The post holder will also provide education and support to patients, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals.

The Specialist Nurse will engage with other healthcare practitioners to uphold high standards of care in the prevention and management of pressure injuries, ensuring adherence to established pressure ulcer policies and pathways. If you possess a Tissue Viability qualification or equivalent knowledge of tissue viability issues and are committed to enhancing patient care across all areas of the Trust, including acute and community settings, this role may be ideal for you.
