Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Early Years Practitioner to join our team at East Lothian Council. As an effective member of our early years team, you will deliver a high-quality, child-centered service that meets the needs of children and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with the early years team to provide a nurturing environment that promotes children's learning and development.
- Develop and implement engaging activities that cater to the diverse needs of children, including those with special educational needs.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that ensure the well-being and safety of children.
- Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to create a positive and inclusive team culture.
Requirements
- Relevant qualifications and experience in early years education or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of child development theories and practices.
Working Arrangements
This is a 52-week non-sessional post, which will include working during school holidays. The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and occasional evenings.
