We are seeking an experienced Architectural Technician to join our Technical Team in Byfleet. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting with a variety of projects, working closely with the Head of Technical to ensure timely completion and high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities- Produce detailed working drawings for complex retirement apartment projects, ensuring compliance with relevant building regulations.
- Verify and approve supplier information, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Liaise with the National House-Building Council (NHBC) to ensure adherence to current building standards.
- Develop site-specific technical details, taking into account local building codes and regulations.
- Attend regular site meetings to discuss project progress and address any concerns.
- Collaborate with external consultants, suppliers, and statutory bodies to provide high-quality drawings and ensure project success.
- Strong knowledge of relevant building regulations, including Building and Fire Regulations for multi-storey apartment buildings.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, with the ability to produce high-quality drawings.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Discretion and confidentiality, as you will have access to sensitive project information.
- An HNC/HND or equivalent architectural/construction-related qualification is desirable but not essential.
