Senior Medical Officer, Addiction Services

NHS Scotland is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Medical Officer to join our Addiction Services team. As a key member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for providing medical leadership and expertise in the treatment and care of individuals with addiction issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in all aspects of patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning
- Provide consultant leadership and expertise in multidisciplinary meetings
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans
- Contribute to the development of our recovery-oriented system of care
- Participate in research projects and teaching initiatives
Requirements:
- Full registration with the GMC
- CCST in General Practice or Psychiatry (with addiction endorsement)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
- Strong leadership and management skills
