About the Role

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Renfrewshire Alcohol and Drugs Recovery Service. As a key member of our integrated Health and Social Care Team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals struggling with addiction and mental health issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver safe and effective care to a diverse client population, utilizing your sound clinical knowledge and skills.
  • Conduct assessments, develop, implement, and evaluate person-centered recovery plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Engage with service users in a therapeutic manner, fostering a supportive and non-judgmental environment.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider team to provide comprehensive interventions and support services.
  • Develop and maintain strong interpersonal and communication skills, ensuring effective partnership working and collaboration with stakeholders.
Requirements and Skills
  • Proven experience in addiction nursing or a related field, with a strong understanding of substance abuse treatment and recovery principles.
  • Excellent clinical skills, including the ability to offer interventions and deliver safe, effective care to a diverse client population.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with varying levels of complexity.
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to the development and implementation of person-centered recovery plans.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with best practices in addiction nursing and recovery.
