About the Role:

Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organisation in North Lanarkshire, is seeking a Marketing Officer to join their team on a contract basis until 31st January 2025. This role involves working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, at a rate of £18.94/hour PAYE.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of the organisation's Marketing and Communications strategy, focusing on innovative ways to engage audiences and increase recruitment.
  • Develop and implement digital content strategies to expand social media reach and impact.
  • Drive online traffic to the organisation's website through various techniques, including paid search, SEO, and PPC.
  • Improve the usability, design, content, and conversion of the organisation's website.
  • Lead on the development of the website, ensuring it remains at the forefront of digital marketing developments.
  • Evaluate customer research, market conditions, and competitor data to inform marketing decisions.
  • Review new technologies and ensure the organisation remains up-to-date with the latest digital marketing trends.
  • Take ownership of metrics related to campaign performance, website, social media, and delegate analysis to inform marketing initiatives.
  • Prepare, plan, develop, and project manage various marketing campaigns throughout the year to different audiences.
  • Create and develop new innovative ways to communicate the organisation's brand.
  • Work closely with other team members to integrate marketing and communications functions throughout campaigns.
  • Evaluate all campaign activity and ensure it meets the organisation's objectives.
  • Responsible for leading on market research and developing marketing plans for curriculum areas.
  • Co-ordinate marketing projects to ensure they are delivered on time and within budget.


Requirements:

Degree-level qualification in a relevant subject or relevant experience.


Desirable Skills:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a marketing role, with a focus on traditional and digital marketing.
  • Excellent knowledge of social media marketing and planning.
  • Managing multichannel / Cross-Channel marketing.
  • Experience managing PPC, SEO, email marketing, and social media.
  • Able to define, track, and analyse key metrics for traditional and digital marketing strategies.
  • Relevant technical expertise, with a good understanding of and ability to work with different analytics packages and content management systems.
  • Good understanding of traditional and digital marketing strategies, with proven experience building successful campaigns.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
