Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Test Engineer to support the verification and validation of our autonomy stack. This involves developing highly automated test equipment to automatically verify all parts of the stack, including functional, functional safety, and cyber security requirements.

This role offers the exciting opportunity to work in a rapidly evolving and expanding field, applying novel technologies, techniques, and methodologies to overcome complex challenges. This is a hands-on, fast-paced, collaborative development environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the validation and verification strategy for our products, including planning and execution of each phase of the V&V life cycle.
  • Derive test cases to demonstrate the functionality and robustness of sub-systems, including actuators, controllers, and software.
  • Design and develop highly automated test equipment to automatically verify all elements of the autonomy stack.
  • Conduct on-vehicle testing and evaluation at our test sites and at remote locations worldwide.
  • Manage defect detection, tracking, and resolution through our integrated toolchains.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in software or mechatronics engineering, or equivalent experience in a relevant engineering sector.
  • Demonstrated experience designing system tests for commercial or automotive products, or industrial machinery.
  • Expert knowledge of developing test applications in Python.
  • Experience in integrating automated test harnesses to continuous build and test servers, such as Jenkins or TeamCity.
  • Experience in robotics, electro/mechanical systems, and industrial automation systems.
