We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Early Years Manager to lead our team and ensure high standards of childcare and education in our nursery. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding early education and care, aiming for high Ofsted ratings.
Main Responsibilities- Leadership and Team Management: Lead and inspire the team to deliver exceptional early education and care, fostering a positive and inclusive environment.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with Early Years Foundation Stage requirements, Standards, and all relevant policies, maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
- Strategic Planning and Development: Develop and communicate the setting's ethos and vision, creating a welcoming environment and fostering strong parent partnerships, and write, implement, and review the setting's development plan.
- Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day operations, including staffing and organization, ensuring smooth running of the setting, and manage and resolve concerns and complaints according to policies.
- Safeguarding and Child Protection: Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring adherence to safeguarding policies and procedures, and comply with Ofsted requirements and HR policies, conducting investigations as needed.
- Staff Management and Development: Recruit, induct, and manage staff and volunteers, providing support and supervision, and contribute to staff training and professional development.
- Financial Management: Manage budgets, complete funding documentation, and oversee procurement, resource ordering, contractor management, and parental fees.
- Health and Safety: Ensure the safety of children and staff, supporting safe risk-taking environments, and comply with health and safety policies and procedures.
- Qualifications and Experience: Hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent) and meet all EYFS standards, and demonstrate proven post-qualification experience in early years education and childcare.
- Skills and Knowledge: Possess excellent knowledge of EYFS, Development Matters, Birth to Five Matters, and current early years legislation, and understand child development and plan and implement the EYFS curriculum, considering Special Educational Needs and Disability Code of Practice.
- Personal Qualities: Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to multi-task and establish rapport with staff, families, and external agencies.
