Children's Team Leader Nights Position

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Residential Support Worker to take on a Team Leader opportunity in our EBD Children's Residential Care Home.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience supporting children and young people (ages 11 - 17 years) in a similar environment and be able to work a flexible shift pattern, including nights.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist the Registered Manager and/or Deputy Manager in achieving the aims and objectives of the Statement of Purpose and uphold the organisation's mission statement and values.
- Support and manage the staff team to enable them to meet the needs of the children and young people.
- Undertake direct work with children and young people as appropriate.
- Ensure each shift is planned and resources are allocated.
- Work in partnership with other professionals to achieve optimum outcomes for young people.
- Offer supervision and support to staff in line with Quality Standards and as directed by the Registered Manager and/or Deputy Manager.
- Diploma Level 3 Residential Childcare or equivalent (completed NVQ | QCF Level 3 in Children and Young People).
- Minimum 1 year Senior Support Worker experience in a similar environment (residential EBD Home for Children and Young People).
- Minimum 2 year experience working in a Children's Residential setting with challenging behaviours.
- Knowledge of the Children Act and other relevant legislation.
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Understanding the needs of looked-after children including managing challenging behaviour.
- Full Driving Licence desirable.
