Lead Groundwater Modelling Specialist - Water Resource Management Consultancy

A well-established and reputable engineering and project management firm is on the lookout for a Lead Groundwater Modelling Specialist to become a part of their Water Resource Management Consultancy division. This position offers the flexibility to operate from multiple office locations and entails overseeing groundwater modelling initiatives while playing a crucial role in ensuring the sustainability of future water resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and direct groundwater modelling initiatives
  • Establish and nurture strong client relationships
  • Ensure the delivery of superior outputs across various projects
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as science, engineering, or mathematics
  • Advanced qualification in hydrogeology or a related discipline
  • Thorough understanding of groundwater modelling techniques
  • Experience with regional groundwater models in the UK
  • Expertise in MODFLOW and other groundwater flow simulation tools
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, Fortran, VBA, or similar
