As a Senior Category Manager for Offshore Foundations within the Offshore Specific Category Procurement Team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting various offshore initiatives during their development stages. Your primary responsibility will be the pre-FID tendering and negotiation processes for offshore foundation supply packages, which may also encompass EPCI contracts.
Additionally, you will oversee Strategic Framework Agreements related to the fabrication of offshore foundations.
Your Responsibilities:
- Assist global offshore projects by formulating project procurement strategies focused on foundations.
- Coordinate with supporting functions and projects to compile and draft all RFI/RFQ documentation for EPCI or supply-only needs.
- Evaluate RFQ responses based on Total Cost of Ownership to ensure the selection of optimal suppliers.
- Lead commercial and legal negotiations with assistance from the in-house legal team.
- Stay informed about market trends and challenges to contribute to corporate strategies.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key supplier contacts.
- Manage high-value, complex contracts to ensure compliance with contractual obligations during the construction phase.
- Extensive experience in Offshore Renewables contracting at Tier 1 level, either from a developer or within the foundations supply chain, with knowledge of supply and EPCI contracting forms such as FIDIC and LOGIC.
- Demonstrated ability to assess commercial risks to mitigate impacts on projects.
- Experience in drafting, negotiating, and managing high-value, high-risk contracts and claims.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
- Collaborative team player capable of managing multiple project stakeholders simultaneously.
- Experience in an international work environment is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for engaging with stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams. The ability to articulate contract terms and negotiate effectively is crucial.
- Proficient in English, encompassing both spoken and written communication.
