We are working closely with a Local Authority in Hillingdon to assist with the appointment of a Direct Payments Officer, on a 2-month contract, with the possibility of extension. We are seeking a skilled professional to support and advise service users of social care provision who receive or apply for Direct Payments.

Key Responsibilities
  • To support and advise service users on their social care needs and provide guidance on managing their Direct Payments within policy guidelines and framework.
  • To work closely with the Council's Social Work and financial services, procurement services, and external independent sector service partners to ensure seamless delivery of care packages.
  • To promote the use of direct payments as a solution to meet individual care needs.
Requirements
  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent experience.
  • Some experience of working in Social Services, voluntary sector, or Health.
  • Experience of managing accounts and working out care costs.
