Job Title: Clinical Fellow in Medical Oncology

The Christie NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Clinical Fellow to join our team in Medical Oncology. As a Clinical Fellow, you will play a key role in the development and implementation of Stereotactic Ablative Body Radiotherapy (SABR) within our organisation.

Role Purpose:

The successful applicant will work alongside consultants and trainees in out-patient clinics, supervising Technical Radiotherapy delivery and performing on-treatment reviews and follow-up assessments. You will also be responsible for teaching junior medical staff, medical students, and nurses on occasion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement SABR within the organisation
  • Work alongside consultants and trainees in out-patient clinics
  • Supervise Technical Radiotherapy delivery
  • Perform on-treatment reviews and follow-up assessments
  • Teach junior medical staff, medical students, and nurses
Organisational Arrangements:

This post is for 40 hours per week as a Clinical Fellow for a fixed term period of 12 months with the option to extend for a further 12 months. The post holder will be employed by The Christie NHS Foundation Trust and will be based at The Christie.

Continuing Professional Development:

The Trust supports the requirements for continuing professional development (CPD) as laid down by the GMC and surgical colleges and is committed to providing time and financial support for these activities.
