Job Title: Clinical Fellow in Neuro-Oncology
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Fellow to join our Neuro-Oncology team at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in clinical research and clinical trial management, with a focus on preoperative treatment strategies for brain cancer patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support clinical research and provide specialist experience and training for the successful applicant
- Gain experience in advanced radiotherapy and clinical management of oncological patients
- Develop clinical research projects with a focus on preoperative treatment strategies for brain cancer patients, including Tumour Treating Fields
- Attend patient clinics with a focus on patients with primary brain tumours
- Participate in clinical research meetings and trial planning or trial set-up meetings
- Review clinical data, write abstracts/manuscripts, and plan new studies
Requirements:
- Full General Medical Council (GMC) registration
- Passed the International Academic English Language Testing System (IELTS) exam (if appropriate)
- Medical degree and pursuing a career in Clinical Oncology
Working Arrangements:
This is a 12-month post with the possibility for extension to 24 months. The post will be based within the Department of Clinical Oncology under the supervision of the consultant clinician.
