Research Fellow in Translational Neuro-Oncology

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research Fellow to join our team in the Hamerlik lab at The University of Manchester. As a Research Fellow in Translational Neuro-Oncology, you will play a key role in delivering a clinical validation study and developing novel tools and workflows for exploratory analyses and mechanistic studies using animal models.
The successful candidate will have a PhD or equivalent in biochemistry or molecular biology and relevant laboratory experience in molecular, cellular and tumour biology. You will be expected to take a lead in planning and organising study activities, supported by the Principal Investigator. Opportunities to lead and contribute to publications and present findings at national conferences will also be available.
About the ProjectThe project is supported by the Cancer Research UK project grant and the Brierwood family donation. You will be supervised by Prof. Petra Hamerlik, Chair of Translational Neuro-Oncology at The University of Manchester.
About the TeamYou will be part of a multidisciplinary team working together with colleagues across cancer sciences, NHS Trusts, and international collaborators. The post holder will be based at the Paterson Research Building in Manchester.
