About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Head of Year to join our dynamic team at a highly regarded secondary school in South London. As a seasoned educator, you will provide visionary leadership and guidance to a dedicated group of teachers and students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Guidance: Provide strategic direction and support to the year group, ensuring academic excellence and personal growth across all subjects.
  • Academic Progress and Pastoral Care: Oversee the academic progress and well-being of students, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with teachers, parents, and the wider school community to promote student success and development.
  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to the overall success and development of the school, aligning with the school's vision and goals.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant teaching degree.
  • Experience: Substantial experience as a Head of Year or a similar leadership role, with a proven ability to motivate and inspire a team of teachers.
  • Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to student well-being and academic success.
